Shortly before we started our journey, I discovered that the US Post Office had issued a set of stamps featuring "Greetings from..." each state of the Union. I decided that one of our projects should be creating and mailing ourselves a postcard from each state featuring something that represented the state on the front (which sometimes was a simply a sign), and, of course, the corresponding stamp on the back. Below is a gallery of the cards so far. In some states, for instance Mississippi, we literally pulled off the highway, took the picture, printed in out and begged a cashier at Office Depot to mail it, all in less than one hour.
